Voice Queries

When you use the Genius Helper Alexa skill, your voice queries are processed by Amazon Alexa's voice recognition service before being sent to our backend. The text of your question is then processed through Azure OpenAI's ChatGPT model API to generate responses.

Session Data

Your conversation history is stored temporarily in memory during your active session only to maintain conversational context. This data includes:

Your questions and the AI's responses
Session identifier (automatically generated by Amazon Alexa)

Usage Analytics

We collect basic, anonymous usage statistics to improve our service. This data does not include any personal information or the content of your questions and conversations.

To process your questions and provide AI-generated responses
To maintain conversation context during your session
To improve the skill's functionality and user experience

3. Data Storage and Security

Your conversation data is:

Stored temporarily: Conversation history is kept in memory during your active session only
Automatically deleted: When you end your session (by saying "stop" or after inactivity), all conversation data is permanently deleted

Processed securely: All data transmission uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS)

This skill uses the following third-party services:

We do not retain your conversation data beyond your active session. Session data is automatically and permanently deleted when:

You say "stop" or "exit" to end the session
Your session times out due to inactivity (typically after a few minutes)
You close the Alexa app or restart your device

Anonymous usage statistics are retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes.

This skill is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
